About Me

I am a Clinical Psychologist, with a PhD from The New School in New York City (2012) and a Master’s degree in counseling from Harvard Graduate School of Education (2006). I subsequently completed a postdoctoral fellowship treating responses to trauma at Bellevue Hospital, then worked at UVA Health System treating patients challenged by a wide range of issues, including adapting to medical illness, depression, and anxiety. I have been in private practice since 2015.

I am fortunate to genuinely enjoy my job and the relationships I create with clients, which I know is central to the healing process. I integrate Psychodynamic Psychotherapy with Cognitive Behavioral Techniques in my work. This means we will work at your pace to deepen your understanding of what is driving the issues with which you struggle and integrate practical strategies as needed to help you feel better. I am an affirming provider and use she/her pronouns.
